We love working with fiber, mostly through crocheting, knitting and spinning. We live in Kings, Tulare and Kern counties, and Bakersfield is our main meeting location.

Yarn Mavens Meet Up July 12th
Our next meet up will be on July 12th from 1:00 to 4:00 at the DoubleTree Inn Coffee Shop in Bakersfield, CA. All knitters and crocheters or anyone who loves yarn is welcome to join us.
WWKIP Day Yarn Maven Style
20 knitters turned out for the first Annual World Wide Knit in Public Day in Bakersfield, CA, even thought the weather was HOT. The nearby fountain helped with a little cooling and a little mist once in awhile.
There were knitters of all ages (and crocheters too) and from as far away as Las Vegas and San Francisco.
A good time was had by all.
